Charlotte FPA Chapter partners with the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE) https://www.nccee.org/ to provide financial consultations to North Carolina teachers who are teaching financial literacy in the classroom.
Planners who are CFPs are asked to volunteer their time in 45-minute increments to meet with a teacher (or two) and provide them the opportunity to review their state retirement benefits and other financial plans. These sessions are designed to help the teachers get on, or stay on, the right track for retirement savings and money management.
Below are the guidelines for participation:
The total time commitment if you help one teacher would be a little over two hours (including training). Two teachers would about three hours.
